The Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa is hosting a Jersey cheese tasting event on Sunday 14th September to celebrate the World Jersey Cheese Awards. An organic and artisan cheese tasting stall and a number of other attractions will mark the occasion, showcasing some of the best Jersey cheese produce from one of Grand Jersey’s leading local suppliers, Classic Herd.
A team from the five-star Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa and local brain injury charity, Headway Jersey, are set to take on a gruelling four-day challenge. Starting Wednesday 6th August, the team will cycle through France, row from France to Jersey arriving Saturday 9th August.
The team is comprised of key members of staff from Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa and Headway Jersey, including managing director, Eamonn Elliott, and executive head chef, Richard Allen, from Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa and Headway Jersey services manager Mark Harris. Rob Cassin, pilot boat coxswain for the Jersey Coastguard and Michelle Laubscher, General Hospital staff nurse are also joining the group.
A COMEDYdrama hosted by Grand Jersey raised almost £1,000 for adults with special needs. ‘Baby, It’s Cold Outside’ by playwright Brenda Murphy, showcased at the hotel over two days during the first week of October.
Grand Jersey’s general manager was crowned the Institute of Director’s Young Director of the Year at a ceremony at The Grange Hotel in London on Friday 11th October.
Richard Allen, executive head chef at Tassili restaurant at the five star Grand Jersey, and his team are celebrating after learning the restaurant has retained its coveted Michelin Star status for the third successive year.
