Good afternoon all,
The sun is shining on the beautiful island of Jersey, the team are looking tanned and refreshed (with exception of Maggie and I, the Irish part of the team which unfortunately go red, white then peel!). I was up at El Tico this week, the sun set and the ambience was unbelievable. It is nights like that where we all are privileged to be living on this unique island. Anyway back to the serious stuff.
I hope you all are well and getting ready for a visit to the warmest place in the UK and Ireland! Lots has happened since we last spoke and I want to start by informing all our followers that business at Grand Jersey has and will not change since the announcement that we are seeking a new owner. The team and I embrace this announcement with positivity as the property demands a great owner which all hope will be the case. We will then look forward to the next chapter in the old and wonderful ladies life. Hugo has seen through 5 different owners, a 6th is not a drama as long as they keep Grand Jersey investment programme intact and the team and the direction that we have been on in the last 4 years is maintained.
I hope all is well and you and that your families are in good health. We are fast approaching the biggest celebration day of the year, St Patrick’s Day, of course! I want to wish all on island and off island a wonderful St Patrick’s day. For the first time in years I will be home in sunny Belfast on this day enjoying a pineapple juice with my father Paddy and the brothers! The enigmatic Pamela O Neil and Martina Wintour have been working tirelessly on island to create an array of events for the St Patrick’s day weekend. If you go onto the Facebook page of “All things Irish” you can see what the guys have planned.
I hope this message receives you all in the festive cheer. Grand Jersey and Team have had a very busy time. We have a full hotel for the Xmas and New Year’s celebrations. Lots of regular and new faces all having a ball. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our loyal and wonderful regulars to Grand Jersey. You really do make this place a special property. The team and I thank you all for your continued support and custom. I hope we can look after you all for many years to come and wish you and your families all the very best for 2014.
Slan Go failte agus Bhlian Nua Sasta, (Take care for now and Happy New Year in Irish of course!)
I hope life with you all is well. I know that we have great regular friends that read this blog, my best wishes goes to them at this time and I hope we will see you all very soon. Well what has been happening since the last blog?
We hosted our first ever live play at Grand Jersey. We brought over Brenda Murphy and the crew for Baby It’s Cold Outside. The guys put on a great show and both nights were enjoyed by all. I want to use this medium to thank Brenda, Joe, Kevin, Sarah, Fiona and Nicole, you all were a treat to look after and on account of your success we will definitely have another live play at Grand Jersey in the New Year. We might even have Brenda write a play about Jersey’s colourful history! Watch this space.
