Environmental Policy

Grand Jersey is committed to the implementation of proactive measures to help protect the local and global environment. We are conscious that the action of each and every staff member and guest has an impact on the environment for present and future generations.

By working together we can create a safe and clean environment and ensure that environmental issues are kept at the forefront of everyone’s mind and given the correct attention at all times.

Grand Jersey is committed to a policy of sound and responsible environmental management and therefore undertakes that it will:

• Work with supplier partners to help reduce packaging and arrange bulk orders to limit the amount of transport to the hotel
• Source products that have minimal environmental impact including the use of locally sourced ingredients for our restaurants
• Seek to conserve natural resources by implementing ways to save energy and water including dual flush resistors
• Ensure that all employees at all levels at Grand Jersey are aware of the environmental effects of their activities and encourage to work in an environmentally responsible manner
• Communicate this environmental policy to all staff and make available to all guests
• Measure performance and set objectives that will be regularly revisited with the aim of continual improvement by reducing, re-using and recycling in all areas
• Regularly conduct reviews to ensure the hotel operations remain compliant with this policy and to set or revise targets to ensure continual improvement for the future

This policy statement will be reviewed annually to ensure that it remains applicable to the current activities of Grand Jersey.
